We know that HD1 supports to operate all the settings via radio keypad. This article will show you how to make HD1 communicate with another radio in analog mode.
Step1, Make sure HD1 in VFO mode. If not in VFO mode, short press the EXIT to switch Channel mode to VFO mode.
Step2, If the VFO mode is not FM mode, long press EXIT to switch DMR mode to FM mode.
Step3, Write the RX frequency 144.23750
Step4, Get into menu set. Menu -> Band A/B Set ->Shift Up. Make sure shift up is OFF, because now we don't need the offset.
Step5, The CTCSS feature also does not offer any security. CTCSS and
DCS don't stop anyone from listening to you, they just stop you from
hearing other people. So if you want to listen more voice, don't set any ctcss or dcs. here we don't set any of them. If you want to learn more about the CTCSS and DCS, you can click this link. http://www.ailunce.com/blog/what-are-the-ctcss-and-dcs
After all steps have done, press PTT to back to home page. Then press PTT, Radio A and communicate with the Radio B.
Menu -> Main Set -> Save CH. If it shows CH-XXXX, that means this channel has saved channel before. If it shows xxxx(only numbers), that means this channel is empty, we can save the new channel. Press Confirm, we can write the channel name. Then we can find we have add a new channel without PC directly.
For example, we know the repeater data is below:
TX Frequency = 154.23750Mhz,
RX Frequency = 144.23750Mhz,
CTCSS = 88.5
We can set radio data according to the repeater data.
TX Frequency = 144.23750Mhz,
RX Frequency = 154.23750Mhz,
TX CTCSS = 88.5
Step1, Make sure HD1 in VFO mode. If not in VFO mode, short press the EXIT to switch Channel mode to VFO mode.
Step2, If the VFO mode is not FM mode, long press EXIT to switch DMR mode to FM mode.
Step3, Write the RX frequency 154.23750
Step4,
the radio offset is tx frequency minus the rx frequency. so it is -10. Get into menu set. Menu -> Band A/B Set ->Shift Up. Make sure
shift up is Minus, then set the shift frequency, write 10.
Step5, The repeater has the ctcss, so we need to set the transmit ctcss, or not, when we transmit the repeater won't receive our signal. Get into menu set, Menu -> Band A/B Set ->T-CDC, press * to switch the ctcss model, then use the up and down key to select the 88.5. If you want to learn more
