When we don't know which frequency has signal, we may need to use the scan function. Ailunce HD1 has three scan methods. Time, carrier and search.
Time mode(TO): When the radio detects a signal it will stop scanning and will pause for 5 seconds before scanning again even if the signal is still present.
Carrier mode(CO):When the radio detects a signal it will stop scanning and will stay on the same frequency and will resume scanning after 5 seconds when the signal ends.
Search mode(SE):When the radio detects a signal, it will stop on that frequency and will not move on, even if the signal ends.
Get into menu, Menu -> Main Set -> Scan Mode, Here you can select the scan mode. Then go homepage, long press *Scan key to open scan function. Press any key to stop scan.
Ailunce HD1 has no scan list, It can scan all the channels in no zone. or scan as zone list.
1)Zone scan: it will scan by zone, and will scan all the channels in your zone. Here the zone likes a scan list.
2) Scan Add Function: If you set the zone "all channels", it will scan the channels which ticked the "add scan" function.

Can get my scanner on to digital. Where/how do I do it? TIA
Can you show us more details about your request? email to us. hams@ailunce.com
Is there a way to speed up scanning through channels? It skips transmission due to the slow scanning
For digital channels, there is much information need to judge, so the scan speed can't be too fast. What speed do you want the HD1 support?
Is there a priority scan feature? I.e. If you are scanning and you hit the ptt button you will only transmit on a designated channel instead of whatever channel the scanner happens to be on.
Temporarily unsupported
