Reset to Factory Defaults will set back all radio features to the original factory default settings. When we use the walkie talkie, if we set some parameters wrong, the walkie talkie give you an error, or your walkie talkie don’t work normally for some wrong parameters settings which you don’t know. One method is checking all your settings until find the problems, another method is letting you radio reset to factory defaults.

This article will show you how to factory reset RT23?

There are two ways to initialize RT23, VFO initialization and FULL initialization.

1, VFO initialization.

VFO initialization means after you vfo initialize the RT23, all the frequency settings will reset to factory defaults, but the channel information you have saved won’t be changed.

Operation method: Press the PTT and NO.1, turn on the radio at the same time. The radio will show “VFO?”, then release the PTT and NO.1. You radio will VFO initialization completed.

2, FULL initialization.

FULL initialization means after you full initialize the RT23, all the frequency settings will reset to factory defaults, and the channel information you have saved will disappear.

Operation method: Press the PTT and NO.2, turn on the radio at the same time. The radio will show “FULL?”, then release the PTT and NO.2. You radio will Full initialization completed.
